Do you have lockers on site?
Unfortunately we don't have lockers on site so customers must keep their belongings with them. Woburn Lido accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage.
Do you allow dogs on site?
Dogs are not permitted on site with the exception of service and guide dogs.
Are customers allowed to bring their own food to the lido?
Customers may bring a picnic with them to the lido if they wish. Barbecues are not permitted.. Food and drink can also be purchased from the kiosk.
Is alcohol / smoking permitted on site?
Smoking and alcohol is not permitted on site at any time. Customers who consume alcohol or smoke on site will be asked to leave.
Is the pool available for private hire?
For private hires, please fill in the contact us form on our contact page, or alternatively you can ask a member of staff on site.
Can I wear a wetsuit?
Wetsuits are permitted at the lido and are strongly recommended for cold water swimming. Please ensure it has been thoroughly cleaned especially after doing open water swimming.
How long can I stay at the lido for?
For both cold water and summer swimming, sessions will be used to allow for the maximum amount of customers to use the lido. Customers may stay for any length of time within their booked session.
Can I leave the lido and then re-enter?
If a customer wishes to leave the site, but return during their booked session they must obtain the approval of staff to this.
Are inflatables allowed at the lido?
Customers are more than welcome to bring inflatables to the lido during the summer season. However, they may only be used at the lifeguards discretion and permission MUST be obtained prior to use. On busy days inflatables will not be permitted.
Do you allow flippers, hand paddles and snorkels at the lido?
Flippers and hand paddles may be used in lane sessions only at the discretion of the lifeguard. Snorkels may not be used at any time for safety reasons. Please ask the lifeguard on duty for more info.
Do you allow mermaid tails at the lido?
Mermaid tails and monofins are not permitted at the lido for Health and Safety reasons. For more info please speak to a member of staff.
Can I use suncreams?
Yes, to prevent these impacting upon the water quality they should be applied at least 30 minutes before entering the pool and not later?
How long do you keep lost property for?
All lost customer property found at the lido is kept for 1 month. Any property left at the Lido for more than one month will be discarded.
Can I pay by card?
Yes. Card payment is now available at the lido and is the preferred method of payment. Contactless and phone payments are also available.
Is parking available on site?
We have a limited number of parking spaces on site. There is also additional parking at the village hall opposite the lido. Disabled parking is available on site.
Is there an age limit for cold water swimming?
Yes. Cold water swimming is for people of 18 years of age or more. Children will not be admitted to the lido and sessions should not be booked for children under 18 years of age.
What disinfectant is used in the Lido?
Woburn Lido uses liquid chlorine (14/15% Sodium Hypochlorite) mixed with a 30% Hydrochloric acid. If you have any questions then feel free to ask a member of the team on site.
When does the summer season begin?
The summer season is set begin at the end of May. The summer timetable will be available before this so you can book sessions in advance.
Could my session be cancelled because of the weather?
Woburn Lido will remain open to customers for all weathers except during thunder and lightning storms because of Health and Safety Reasons. Please ask on site for more details.
Do you have to book online?
Yes pre-paid advance booking is required. Bookings cannot be done by those under the age of 18 years.
Can teenagers swim in the adult lane sessions?
Those between 13 and 18 years may only swim in these sessions with the prior agreement of the Lido.
What is the minimum age that someone can swim at the Lido without an adult?
An adult must be on site for anyone under the age of 18. Children over the age of 8 and who are confident swimmers may swim without adult accompaniment.
What is the level of supervision required?
Children under the age of 8 must be supervised in the pool to a minimum of one adult to two children. Children under the age of 4 must be supervised in the pool to a minimum of one adult to one child.
